the process of persecution

The Process of Persecution

We have often seen and discussed the persecution of Christians and Jews throughout history… but did we ever think we would see the day when we would see persecution from professed Believers?

Unfortunately many in the Christian world have fear as to their members growing interest in the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith and how it is turning people back to the truth in Torah as the descendants of Israel are awakening and coming out of the old false systems of religion and so many slander the movement by writing false and erroneous things on the internet or spreading slander… what the Hebrew tongue calls “Lashon Hara” meaning evil tongue referring to slander and falsehood.

Instead of following the Matthew 18 principle of how to go to a brother directly, they often incite doubt and distrust by spreading false rumors and accusations secretly without any accountability saying, did you know “they believe this”… or “they don’t believe that”… or “they are a cult” or a “sect”…  The early Jewish Believers in Messiah were also called such things as a sect and a cult as they followed Yeshua as their Messiah against the mainstream leading religious rulers of the day.

All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. – Psalm 119:86

The enemy loves to promote such division between God’s children and has systematically through history used the same principles to persecute those promoting truth…

The Process leading to Persecution of God’s people is always as follows:

1. Distribute Doubt and Distrust – Incite Doubt and Distrust through slander and gossip
2. Display Derogatory Differences – Stereotype and Label as “Different”
3. Demonize a Demographic – Vilify and Demonize through false accusations
4. Dehumanize – Dehumanize and Criminalize and finally
5. Destroy – (i.e. physical persecution in the form of imprisonment or death)

The wrong spirit in people will first instill fear of God’s people by causing doubt and distrust in those they do not understand, and then stereotype them and then identify them as “different”, labeling them, and then vilify and demonize them.

When a people are vilified, demonized, and dehumanized, they become objects of hatred without equal value as humans. And it is the very emotion of hatred that can make humans to commit inhumane acts of violence and atrocities… thus leading to the persecution that Yeshua prophesied would come against his people in the last days.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.   If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world (called-out believers), therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.  – John 15:18-20

We want to be lovers of Truth with the freedom to return to God’s ways but we recognize that the majority of the world is going to be against us… it is not an easy road and I guess that’s why the final saints are called a remnant.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Yeshua. – Revelation 14:12 and 12:17

Our focus at the Assembly of Called-Out Believers is to not promote a man-made religious system but to be Called-Out Believers and share the Bible truths in love and to follow what our Messiah said when we are persecuted.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake…  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. – Mathew 5:11, 44

  1. So good! ! So true!! This is exactly what I have been feeling was going on and will most likely continue and worsen. Thank you. Praying. 🙂

  2. For years I have been trying to put a name to how I believe and feel about the WHOLE Word of God. But that’s the WHOLE point. It was a struggle with how to reconcile those verses that seemed to contradict each other. When that which was made to sound like it would be a “burden” in my life supernaturally became the deepest and strongest desires within me; I began to understand how those “inconsistencies” were actually the foundation that exposed the “veil” lifting in my life. I struggled for too many years not being able to accept the main stream church ways and it wasn’t until now that I get why. Those who persecute “do not” see. The veil remains. Therefore when we pray for those who persecute us we cover them from their sins and cleanse our own hearts in the act of doing so. It doesn’t mean that the persecution will stop but that we may stand in the midst of it and stay faithful. And that is the goal for us all. This was a very sobering message but with hope. Thank you for your obedience to the leading of His Ruach ha Kodesh. May we all be so bold in His mighty Name, Yeshua Messiah.
